Priest Blames Council Of State Over Ghana’s Economic Woes

By Enock Akonnor – Kumasi-

-/ Leader of United Faith Tabernacle Church-Kwadaso; Apostle Paul Peter Atiemo has tagged the Council of State as the cause of the current hardship faced by Ghanaians under the Akuffo-Addo led administration.

Leader of United Faith Tabernacle Church-Kwadaso; Apostle Paul Peter Atiemo

He has stated that the body has woefully failed Ghanaians in the discharge of their mandate as in advising the President to effect rapid measures so as to ease the economic pressure on the citizenry.

Considering the litany of agitations raised by the suffering masses including the call for the removal of the Finance Minister Mr. Ken Ofori Atta, down-slashing the number of Ministers among others, he indicated that as members of the Council of State, they could have added their voices by admonishing the President to take action.

According to him, the persistent refusal of the President to heed to the cry of Ghanaians vis-à-vis the dismissal of Ken Ofori Atta is a clear indication that the Council of State has not advised the President on that and that the body is in support of what Nana Addo and the NPP are doing.

Apostle Atiemo therefore recommended an immediate abrogation of the role of current members making up the council.

Per his assertion, new members should take up the mandate and that they should be persons who are bold enough to influence the decisions of the President for the good of the country.
